The classic Julienned Greek Salad that everyone loves and enjoys. It is traditionally served as a stand-alone salad.

Our new favorite summer side dish is this simple Julienned Greek salad recipe! It’s a very colorful salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, kalamata olives, feta cheese, and lastly my favorite avocado.

I like making this salad when vegetables are in their prime, which makes it a perfect summer salad. I coated this salad with my homemade Greek salad dressing.

What to serve with Greek Salad

For just about all of your summer recipes, like grilled chicken or grilled meat, you can serve this salad as a side. With pita bread that has been brushed with olive oil and toasted or grilled, it’s perfect. In Greece, you will find this salad served with bread. Here are some dinner dishes you can try with.

These fresh ingredients are all fresh and delicious, but before combining together, they need to be cleaned. Filling a large bowl with cool water and rinsing each product thoroughly is the best way to wash them.

  • Lettuce. It adds a crunch to this salad’s texture.
  • Bell pepper. This adds a nice crunch and sweet flavor, you can use any color to brighten up your salad.
  • Tomatoes. A colorful and sweet complement to the salad.
  • English Cucumber. Adds a fresh fruity flavor.
  • Red onion. Brings out the flavor. Spring or shallot will also work well.
  • Avocado. Adds a creamy flavor, besides that avo is life.
  • Kalata Olives. Small blackish, tangy, and acidic olives.
  • Feta Cheese. Cubed feta cheese with its salty flavor.

How to make Julienned Greek Salad

The best thing about salads is that they can be made so quickly! Just grab all your ingredients, toss them together with your favorite dressing, and you are ready to go for a good dinner or side dish!

  1. Make julienne cuts with all your ingredients, tomatoes and olive cut be cut in half.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Make greek salad dressing. Recipe for greek salad dressing.
  4. Toss together ingredients and Greek dressing to uniformly cover all ingredients with the dressing.

A fresh, crunchy, vibrant julienned greek salad which perfectly pairs well with non-other than the greek salad dressing. A flavourful, refreshing summer side dish is this simple Greek salad recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium red onion Julienned
  • 1 romaine lettuce head Julienned
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved 
  • 1/2 bell pepper (any color), Julienned
  • 1 English cucumber Ribboned
  • 1 Cup feta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives halved
  • 1 avocado peeled, pitted and sliced

Instructions

    1. Make julienne cuts with all your ingredients, tomatoes, and olive cut be cut in half.
    2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.

FAQ’s about Julienned Greek Salad recipe.

  • How to make a vegetarian version of it?

You can leave out the feta cheese or use vegan feta cheese which is hard to find, cry with me!

  • How long does it last?

This salad is not going to last in the refrigerator for long. The salad will last a maximum of 3 days once made, before it becomes soggy. Instead, I recommend that you store the ingredients separately and combine for individual small servings.

The dressing can be made up to five hours in advance and kept at room temperature for this recipe.
